For a remarkable seven months, my dedication was fully invested in helping PRAY maintain a seamless cross-platform consistency for the highest-grossing prayer application specially tailored for Christians - although still a taboo, a vast and prominent segment within the global religious market.
ROLE & MAIN ACTIVITIES
As a SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER, I was responsible for leading Design Sprints to improve consistency and UI scalability in the web application + creating and implementing the Design System's architecture and documentation + advocating and sharing Design knowledge within the company.
The challenges of our Design Team were beyond just building a proper responsive web application, once we also had native iOS and Android apps to care about.
Since the first day, I started a solid partnership with Engineering Team and, together, we set a top-notch back-end-based Design System Architecture that could feed all of our platforms with optimized UI templates.
Some of the few, but decisive steps to our success were:
Research, adapt, and set cross-platform tokens;
Define Core Design foundations;
Identify both native and reusable components;
Keep an updated library used by the entire organization.
In the end, the most fulfilling part of all this hard and collaborative work was to make sure it paid off. Take a look at these metrics directly driven by the efforts of the Design Team:
The shareable component library increased our velocity and ability to set and run Product & Marketing experiments;
Onboarding funnel iterations increased registrations by 125% and trials by 10x;
Improvements on the V1 core loop & new content curation generated over 40K shares per day, increasing retention by over 53%;
Sharing flow iterations increased organic traffic by 5x;
Our subscriber NPS rate achieved 86%.
